Looking at a picture You're so beautiful I can remember it like it was yesterday And love was fresh and new And we were the world Minute hand slow your crawl 'Cross the face of time And let us cherish her And hold her And never let her go~ Where did the romance go I traded it in for a friend who Knows what I mean to say Before it's said You're not the girl I knew You're somebody from somewhere greater Hold me and I'll hold you too 'Cause I grew wings for you Flew beyond what I thought I knew When I went to confess my flight I found you took off too So though time may be cruel I will always return to you And when I come back, you'll be Seventeen Passion Is a fire that burns But has no fuel and so dies Where will we be then Why we will be right here In love all the same More than your hair More than eyes that catch the stars Love perseveres when passion dies For it only craves your smile Who says that God is dead For how can he be when I yet can Look in your eyes and see Infinity I'll give you everything If I have to die simply trying Hold me and I'll hold you too 'Cause I grew wings for you Flew beyond what I thought I knew When I went to confess my flight I found you took off too So though time may be cruel I will always return to you And when I come back, you'll be Seventeen I think I found the way But how can I go without you to Find it for me when I cannot see You are my better half Without you I think I'd be drowning Hold me and I'll hold you too 'Cause I grew wings for you Flew beyond what I thought I knew When I went to confess my flight I found you took off too So though time may be cruel I will always return to you And when I come back, you'll be Seventeen We're a stone, me and you Time turns us into something new And to grow old with you I can't think what I'd rather do So though time may be cruel I will always return to you And when I come back, you'll be Seventeen

This is my nightmare I'm gazing to the heavens I turn to you and to my dismay You are gone Under the night sky I See with a clarity I haven't had since we Started this journey I've been so lost All that I want is friendship Yet I want so much more Under the watch of These shimmering guardians I've gotten down on my knees Nightly I watch for signs and I stoke the fire Trying to kindle a flame Where are you The campsite is made The night stretches out before us I've got a song for you The fire is blazing And I'll never let it die down Never again Wandering the night woods I See how I cannot see Stumbling blindly Hands that are empty I am so lost Somewhere a cabin beckons Yet I cannot approach It's getting darker And I cannot find you It's getting harder to see Make my way back to camp and I stoke the fire Try to remember my name Where are you The campsite is made The night stretches out before us I've got a song for you The fire is blazing And I'll never let it die down Never again Where did I lose you (Talk to me) Did I desert you Leave you behind These stars were ours once (I didn't mean to shoot them down) Help me find them Where are you The campsite is made The night stretches out before us I've got a song for you The fire is blazing And I'll never let it die down Never again

Every day he's lookin' for A chance to find his metaphor The truth behind the black and white And dreary shades of grey Lookin' in your eyes he sees Contempt and pity when he needs A hint of hope a glint of light To carry him away And yet his dreams are sweeter than you know And filled with hands that hold And voices softly crooning words that every heart should hear His heart breaks a little every day He works so hard to mend the cracks away And be the guy who always smiles And hides in his eyes It's not a sad song yet He still has time to forget And make his life something new Something good Before he says goodbye And writes the end And when the sadness fades day breaks He starts a new life with the shakes And looking back he contemplates The man he used to be He wants to change but knows the truth His life is like a rotten tooth It fills your mouth with sour taste And pain 'til you rip it free And yet his dreams are sweeter than you know And filled with hands that hold And voices softly crooning words that every heart should hear Lying down he prays for sudden death He cannot help but wish for final breath And courage to choose to clean his mess Or let it all go It's not a sad song yet He still has time to forget And make his life something new Something good Before he says goodbye And writes the end Of a life lived with you Writes the end Of a song meant for two And sings that song for you And asks that you would take his hand Before he says Goodbye

about

Putting Up Drunken Walls is an ongoing album that explores my deepest regrets and my greatest hopes for the future. It is an eclectic collection of upbeat and melancholy electronic tunes with a bit more rock flair than I used in Beyond Imagination.
